The fact that VTX nowadays are getting smaller, it means there is less surface area to let the heat go and often cause overheat issues. This is especially the case with high power units like the Eachine TS5828 600mW. Why is overheat bad?
Your VTX can burn out during FPV flights and cause crashes
Running at this high temperature while in contact with other electronics in your aircraft could damage them.
It affects your range and transmitter efficiency as they depend on the working temperature
With this mod the temperature of TS5828 always remains very low allowing it to work properly. You will need: 1 x 30 mm fan 12V, 1 X aluminium heat sink, 6 small zip ties to fix the fan to the heat sink and the VTX to the mount. Install it with the the two lower screws that attach the front arm to the central board. Total weight 30 gr.
