I originally used flexible conduit for the cable runs. But it was so much fun to make any modifications even with some of the cables not having connectors on the ends.
I had cut the extruder cables in half and made a connection board in the rear middle so that i could switch between 1.75mm and 3mm extruders more easily. There was also the fact that i had a load of spare 1 metre heaters and thermistors.
I decided to use 20mm conduit with fittings and two project boxes to run the cables. Also used was a 15mm x 30mm cable chain for the extruder cables to replace the tiny original one.
This has worked out very easy to change a cable over. It is usually about 30 seconds to run any cable now (some with the elbow covers off).
The conduit bracket and clips are designed to be flat against the edge of the 2020 aluminium profile. The half round cable clip only has a slight grip on the conduit, so if you are likely to brush against the conduit the round version would be better.
