Triangle Litho lamp remix

Thank-you ridilen for your design. It was very nice and we were easily able to modify the base to fit alternate light sources. The original has a couple of extra pieces. Please go there for the LED light strip support. I didn't use them. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3027457
FRAME:
For the base we increased the depth of it and incorporated a sunken holder for the 70mm light source. The original design comes with the feet but I removed them to make for a cleaner print without supports.
I found the original base really nice and easy to adjust in TINKERCAD. IKEA's new felt pads are the perfect shape now to stick on underneath.
We used 70mm LED submersible tea lights with a remote control. These lights are available from Amazon for a reasonable price in a pk of 4. They are the large tea light but work amazingly well and are many different colors. This made for a really nice cordless option. They come with a remote and can change colors.
We changed all the guides to 4mm to handle a thinker border. We have found that a 3-3.5mm border is more stable for printing our lithophanes.
The corners we made to accommodate a 112mm x 112mm Lithophane. Just adjust the length to accommodate a rectangle picture. We found square to be easy to handle.
we resized the corner lengths only in my prusaslicer to be 121mm in length, which takes a Litho of 112x112.
This frame design is very clean and easy to print and we often run it at 300%. Virtually no clean up, no supports and just simply force fitting the corners loosen it enough to still be snug but removable to change the lithophanes out or change the batteries in the lights.
Another thing we did, since the first frame we printed was in black, we Sprayed the interiors a really shiny Chrome to distribute the light well. We have also printed the frame in team colors since most of our frames to date have hockey team Lithophanes.
LITHOPHANES:
We use http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/ to convert all our lithophanes. We find it simple and easy to use. We print vertical with a max 3mm/min .5mm depth with a 3mm border. We printed with a generous brim and lots of glue...lol...they printed easily and beautifully.
We started using PETG to handle being in the sun, and quickly found out that all PETG is not the same! The first PETG we had was PRILINE white and we liked the texture. Amazon ran out so we had to find another one very quickly. After have a house full of different makes of filament, we have settled on OVERTURE PETG white. It ended up being better than the first one and we returned all the others we ordered. AMAZON PRIME is awesome! One thing to note though with using PETG, we had to pause print occasionally to clean the nozzle. It can gloop and burn easily. I simply used a wire brush to quickly tidy up and then resumed.
OTHER NOTES:
I am also experimenting with different styles of turntables out there, any suggestions would be much appreciated!
I am really happy with how it turned out! Not bad for a first remix!
