This is a help tool to specify the tremolo floating amount of the synchronized tremolo unit of Fender Stratocaster.
The thickness of the thin part is 3/16 inch (about 4.8 mm) specified in Fender's instruction manual.
Please insert this part between the body and the synchronized tremolo unit inertia block at the time of guitar tuning. It is used as a clue to determine the standard tremolo floating amount.
Tighten the screws to adjust the position of the tremolo spring hanger, or reduce the number of springs and balance with the correctly tensioned string tension.
If the tension of the string and the tension of the tremolo spring become equal, the pressure to this part will be zero and it can be removed naturally.
Other sizes of this part are based on inch notation. The thick part may correspond to recent thin inertia block. enjoy!
