Treadle Torch in Free Torch Mode

The oxygen acetylene torch can be operated in a free torch mode by placing the torch in the normal position for using the gas saver shutoff valve. When the torch is picked up, passing the tip near the pilot light turns on the flame. The system can also be operated in a hands-free mode using the foot pedal to turn the flame on and off. A weight is hung on the gas saver shutoff arm and the torch is hung with the tip near the pilot light flame.
