This is a 3d build of the 400-ton Donosev-class survey ship from the classic Traveller sci-fi role-playing game. The 'Donnies' are commonly used by the Imperial Scouting Service to explore newly discovered planets or monitor space anomalies and may be assigned to a party of explorer characters. It is an unusual-looking craft in that it is not symmetrical and has strange looking equipment sticking out of it - most notably the large pincher-like densitometer mast and the particle collector notch cut out of the dorsal side. The Donosev can support a crew of 12, up to three anti-grav air/rafts in the vehicle bay, and a 50-ton modular cutter equipped with a lab and habitat module. Because of it's unusual design, it cannot make planetfall and relies on support ships to conduct planetside missions. Although a vehicle of science, some Donosevs are armed with a laser turret for protection in hazardous regions of space.
