I like the simple design but the angle is not settable like the multipiece one. My original snapped off at the angle so its thicker and reinforced
Sundial Base 1 was my first attempt and Sundial Base 3 is updated new one.
The large angle nut and bolt hold the first connector to the base in the lower hole.
The side angle bolt doesn't use the nut, just slides in it works pretty good
And the receiver fits in the little hole in the bottom of the gnomon and receives a M5 screw. still working on the threading a bit but if you pre-work the screw in when the nut is warm it should be ok.
NEED TO DO:
------- Update the base, make legs longer and farther apart so they interrupt the shadow less, add the half moon to the top part of base and 2nd screw hole. DONE
----- Update the large screw thread to be better.
