the mesh is made in a blender, the mesh is collapsed into one object with the assigned one material (with assigned textures), origin (pivot) is in the center of coordinates and all transforms are applied.
uv
mapping with overlaps, pading 8px, texel density for 4k textures is 1700 px / m, texel is uniform, all shells are aligned on axes and without distortion, textures can be compressed to 2048px without much loss of detail.
bake
baking in marmoset and adapted for substance painter, baked height_map to increase the detail of the geometry by tessellation, the distance between the shells is completely filled with padding, you can check all the textures in the image
textures
textures made in substance painter and exported in pbr preset (normal_map for gl), you can re-export all textures with another preset (spp file will be together with textures)
render
