This model was created in conjunction with the Colorado School of Mines EPICS Class - December 2007. Professor Martin Spann and team members Matt Bourget, Ryan Hill, Dylan Hoback, Holly Lease, Jennifer Stevens, Cody Weitzel and Joseph Whang contributed to the project. Located at the east side of North Table Mountain, this site was added to the City of Golden park system in 1999. Coors Brewing Company originally developed the complex, and in 2000 the 63-acre park was dedicated to Tony Grampsas, a former Coors employee and a friend of Parks and Recreation in the state legislature. The facilities include: Basketball gymnasium, (2) lighted ball fields, (1) ball field available for reservations and group shelter, playground, water fountains, sand volleyball, soft surface walking trail that cuts through unique Osage orange trees as well as mature cottonwoods, (3) horseshoe pits, off-leash dog park and an archery range affiliated with the local archery club. Pavilion rental includes: sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit, tank for ice and water, access to hose and water and a built-in BBQ grill. Note: The pavilion areas have limited electricity available. Basketball Gymnasium is available for rental through the Athletic Supervisor at 303-384-8125. #City_of_Golden_Parks #Tony_Grampsas_Sports_Complex
