the purpose of designing this object is absolutely function, this lighting can conduct the light in a special way, the hole under beneath the lighting transfer the few light with the closet angle to the floor and it's just work as a wall washer, the upper part can reflect the most of the light to the ceiling, and because of this it can balance the surround light and don't bother the eyes.
