A hinge broke on my toilet seat. I could buy a new seat and all for a reasonable price but my circa 1990 toilet is an unusual subtle purple/blue colour that I have not been able to find in a seat. So I made this.
This is actually the second revision. The first one was slightly off vertically, which put too much stress on it, and broke after a month. I put two of this version on and they have held up for almost a year so far.
