This is a replacement hinge for the slow close Bevis brand toilet seat. The original from them breaks easy due to the stress of the slow close spring mechanism.
My test hinge is currently being... tested. I printed it at a 25% infill, but once I'm convinced it is correct, I will reprint with a 100% or so infill. I printed mine with full supports, however, I don't believe they are needed, I just didn't want to print it 12 times.
This is my 2nd attempt. The first one wasn't high enough and when the unsuspecting person sat on it, it broke. Yeah, feel free to shorten it for some quick humor.
I had included the 123D file so you can feel free to try to alter it if needed.
The best way to print this is on its side. The failure point moves from the layer lines along the hinge to an interrior part. This keeps the hinge intact, but the slow close fails. Well, so far.
