Titan Aero and EZABL mount for CR10 by Ximno
by Thingiverse
Last crawled date: 4 years, 1 month ago
This is to attach a Titan and a TH3D EZABL bd levelling system to the CR10 X carriage. This will work with a volcano, or any other v6 with or without the Aero, and the 0.9degree E3D motor. If you don't use the Aero you will need to modify your Z-axis limit switch.
If you're here, you like me have decided to upgrade your CR10 to a direct drive arrangement, or;
-You are sussing it out as you have been convinced this is the best way forward for print quality improvements
-You have been bullied into joining the E3d band-wagon to stop being beaten up in the playground
-You are a habitual printer modifier (seek professional help, it's cheaper!)
If you're like me a little bit from each of the above reasons is the truth.
The big reason for me being here though is a really big reason, like a desk filling, child eating, power consuming, money burning, 500x500x500 reason.
I love my Cr10s exactly as it is, bowden and all, but a 0.4mm nozzle will not cut it on the S5 (I'm pretty sure to release such a product with a 0.4mm nozzle proves Creality are into sadomasochism.)
Anyway, there are a number of CR-10 mounts that are available on thingiverse....
"This is my mount. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My nozzle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
Without my mount, my nozzle is useless. Without my nozzle, I am useless. I must goo my nozzle true. I must goo straighter than the original glass plate that was trying to kill me. I must goo before it warps and lifts." 3d Printerperson's Creed.
The reason I remixed the mount by KRushin & Evil_K is that the E3D slim motor wouldn't fit with the EZABL sensor.
All I have done is.. Moved the EZABL mount out a bit(6mm) to fit the slightly larger E3D stepper motor and removed the part cooling fan.
will probably use the "CR-10 fang like cooler for titan aero + volcano" by pballerss.
Note*
I'm printing it right now and my Titan/Aero/EZABL/Volcano parts haven't arrived yet.
So print at your own risk, I will update when the print finishes and when my assembly begins.
UPDATE**
It's printed and working like a champ, it even clears the left carriage of the X-axis gantry (just). I haven't printed a fan duct yet. But, I mostly work in ABS.... I would have printed the part cooling duct over easter, but Angus from MakersMuse released a gorgeous ornamental torture test.
I used a probe offset of (x,y)=(-55,0)
Let me know if this works for you!!
