TIN Toy Structural System

Still playing around with TIN structural systems. In this case a hex connector with simple ball joints. I made the top half of the hex connector transparent so it would be easier to see how this works. If there were an easy way to tighten the two halves together (perhaps a bolt) then that could be used to lock down the rods in their correct positions. The rods would screw onto threads on the cylinders extruding from the spheres. The connectors for the triangular faces could use a similar ball joint at the end of support post to make a flush connection with the triangle surfaces. (There is one of these on one of the poles but I'm not satisfied with it.) Although in thinking about it the joint only needs to rotate through one plane as the connection to the pole will place the support connector perpendicular to the triangular surface. This thing would be really easy to mass produce. Anyone interested in developing it with me? #structural #system #TIN #TINtoy
