I created this as a part of a project that's main focus was to explore tics and to try to attach functions to repetitive movements that people are subconsciously prone to. I found the most common and widespread tic was the tapping tic. People often tap their fingers or feet while they work or if they are nervous. My main goal was to find a way to attach a function to that movement. I created the Tic’ Pedal as a sort of ironic twist, It warns you that you’re tapping by making a tapping sound with the finger and the drum. The Tic’ Register records finger tapping as small marks on the surface you’re tapping on. The marks keep you from indulging in repetitive behavior. The Tic’ Twist makes it difficult to play with your hair. The design can also be downloaded and used as a drum pedal. All you need is rubber bands. It’s a simple model that has many uses. I just used it to illustrate a simple concept.
