The Thyssen-Krupp Stairlift is a very useful thing but if you want the lift coming down two levels you must hold down the switch for more than two and a half minute. For me this was so annoying that I made a tool for adding a HOLD-function to that switch. The waiting time remains but it is no longer necessary to hold your finger on the switchknob all the time.
Once the lift has arrived you have to release the switchshifter. Forgetting this can empty the battery stored in the switch. For the liftoperation itself there is no problem because the the operating switch on the seat is overruling the wall-mounted switch.
Be aware that a holding device as described here is NOT recommended by Thyssen-Krupp: that is for safety reasons. Mounting and using this switchholder is your own responsibility.
The actual latch is consisting of two parts which are glued together with superglu.
Print the parts, remove flash and clean them. The switch housing is removed from the wall by removing the inner batteryholder and remove the 2 screws. Remount the housing as shown in the picture. The so called switchkey can simply be pulled out; the printed knob can be clamped on that key whereafter the key can be pushed back into the wall-mounted device.
