The print pictured was removed from the printer and filled with water. It was printed using ABS with a layer height of .3 mm and 25% infill.
I had trouble with the thin walls on the original so I added 4 mm walls to the sides and a 5 mm base. The side walls are a little taller than the original but, this makes for a small rim around the top edge to prevent water spillage whilst filling!
While the added amount of thickness might have been overkill, it prints perfectly and doesn't leak - unless you jostle it around a whole bunch while taking it out to show everyone in the neighborhood. In which case, a spray can of plasti dip comes in real handy.
Thanks to the original designer! Your design is perfect in every way, my printer just has special needs. I noticed someone else had similar troubles and thought that this edit might prove helpful to others.
This is my very first remix - I've made models but have never tried to add to, or rework a finished model. I was worried about how the old and new layers would interact and imagined the added layers just falling off when it was pulled from the print bed.
Fortunately, that didn't happen!
The base took a couple of attempts because it kept wrinkling. I wanted to maintain the integrity of that beautiful little Romanesque style drain at the bottom so, the original base is still inside of the added base.
I focused on adding function rather than aesthetics and there are a couple of exterior corners that might be a trigger for someone with OCD. Next time I upload, I will make sure the symmetry is as tight as the functionality.
Everything was done in XYZmaker and it printed on an XYZ printer. There doesn't seem to be any slicing or layering issues through multiple runs.
