The second-season Jeopardy! set.

When Jeopardy! started its second season on Monday, September 9, 1985, sharp changes were made to the set. Gone were all traces of the color red (save for a new way of illustrating the Double Jeopardy! round by changing the background from blue to red). The carpet was now gray instead of blue, the podiums and gameboard were now done in a brushed metal finish with light blue borders around the monitors. Newly installed was a neon perimeter light around the game board and a 9-light timer display above each podium, reflecting a rule change in the way the game was played (previously, contestants could ring in anytime an answer was revealed. The new rule allowed ringing in only when an answer had been read). Also, a new 'entrance arch' had been erected on the right-hand side of the set, and for the first few weeks, the returning champion stood at the right-hand podium instead of the left. *MODEL UPDATED APRIL 18, 2012** Updates include studio lighting, accurized neon bands (color changes to reflect more accuracy), microphones added to the podiums as well as rescaling them for accuracy. #Jeopardy
