Neverending Glory The Met Pendant Designed by Jan Plecháč & Henry Wielgus for Lasvit Jan Plecháč and Henry Wielgus met during their studies at The Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where they first began to collaborate. In 2011, they founded their own design studio, Jan Plecháč & Henry Wielgus, with the goal of transcending barriers between architecture, art and design. Currently, the duo is commissioned for internationally renowned galleries and brands around the globe. Their Neverending Glory Collection (2013) was inspired by chandeliers from five of the world’s most eminent opera houses. “If you imagine the grand, original chandeliers in these opera houses, they’re glorious,” elucidates Plecháč, “and the ‘neverending’ part relates to the profiles and the idea of infinite rotation – a neverending glory.” This one honors The Met in New York.
