Occasional visitors are very welcome to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Project's gardens and open space during daylight hours. The site was initially established in 1984 after local people fought to save it from development. The purpose built community centre and meeting venue is constructed using highly innovative and sustainable building techniques. The Project offers a varied programme of activities for children and adults, including gardening classes for adults with learning difficulties, an under 5s drop-in and ESOL classes with crèche.
