Made a floating planter using old parts from my tensegrity table! Print normally, i included screenshot of how I oriented the legs, you can print them flat but I found this way to have the highest strength and aesthetic. Play around with the rotation of the bucket to the base to change the look of how it floats.
Print the legs in 40+ % infill or don't live your life. Use a raft when printing both at the same time so they don't knock off.
I included tensioner parts so you can tension the base and pot strings evenly, print four of them. They print without supports and can be printed with low infill and thicc layer height.
To secure the strings at the bottom of the base, I screwed them in with 3mm chamfered screws that lay flush, maybe 3 mm length. You can also knot them but this was the easiest method for me.
If using paracord Feed a loop of wire through the bottom of the planter hold so you can pull the cord through, it tends to fray if you just try to feed it in. Fishing lure also works and would make the effect of floating better.
I probably scuffed something but it's free so don't complain
