This model was designed by a 4th grade student of Greater Gallatin United Way kidsLINK where we teach 3D modeling and 3D printing class. Our students design their model using Blender. When they finish modeling we print their models on Makerbot Replicator 2.
In order to make this temple the student used a photo of Parthenon (a former temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to the goddess Athena). The student had to make a decision about necessary simplifications in order to finish his project in a reasonable time and to make it printable.
I believe this model would be best to print using 1.75 true white PLA. We printed it big enough to put two flameless LED tealights.
