A shield/box for a DS18B20 style waterproof temperature sensor with a body measuring 50mm long and 6mm thick.
It provides a mounting for the sensor, holds it off the surface to minimise transfer of heat and provides good airflow while completely covering the sensor body, preventing accidental touches that effect readings.
It also should still provide fairly accurate results if something is against it, partly covering the sensor as it helps maintain an air gap.
Enclosure final size: 80mm long, 22mm wide, 10mm high.
4mm screw holes are provided or you could use double-sided tape.
Lid can be glued on or depending on your printer might stay in place on it's own, but this is not recommended. Sensor should stay in from friction, if loose, a drop of hot glue, blu-tack or similar will fix this.
For better finish, try printing the top 'up the right way'. Supports will be required in this case however. To make the sensor cover less visible, paint the printed part it match the surface and maybe the sensor cable.
