IMPORTANT TIP: If you print this, print out the first layer on your FDM printer and then cancel it. Take this one layer test print and try it on your Elegoo Mars printer to check for fit. Scale the model if necessary.
Hi-
I made this heater mod for the Elegoo Mars C, hopefully it fits on all the other Mars - but I can't confirm. Pretty self explanatory but a few remarks:
The heater mount is separate from the rest of the parts so you'll need to secure it with some double sided wall mount tape or adhesive caulk . You can mount the heater to the bracket with the screws that come with the product. Make sure the heater points away from the resin like in the picture (this was done to reduce temperature gradient). There are two small holes near the base of the heater bracket for you to zip tie the temp sensor. Hope you find this useful. List of parts:
100W heater that can be found here ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MDN81C3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ).
Thermostat found here ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019I3YCFS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ).
There's also a little port hole for a rubber grommet which can be found here ( https://www.mcmaster.com/9600K38/ ), but if you don't want to use that, just use some kind of flexible adhesive caulking like Loctite Polyseamseal
You'll also need some sort of 12V DC supply that is capable of around 10A. I used a PC powersupply.
Thank you,
Justin
