Telephone Exchanges and Repeater Stations have become the ‘Video Cassette Recorders’ of the Property Market! Technology has made them almost redundant – What used to require a whole floor of 650m2 is now contained to a single drawer of a filing cabinet. Most in the UK were designed around Post Office Pattern Books, and have a particular (if somewhat unfortunate) style. Many occupy Prime Town Centre Locations, and have been reduced to rather expensive warehouses. SCENE 4 shows the building in its current state.
