This is a bracket that allows you to mount a Teknatool Nova Galaxi DVR 1644 panel onto the older Teknatool Nova DVR XP wood turning lathe.
I needed this because when ordering the upgrade kit Control Panel (SKU 55523) for the DVR XP my supplier sent me the wrong panel. It quickly became clear that the Galaxi DVR panel also works with the spindle head unit of the older DVR XP.
Since the Galaxi panel has an emergency stop button (the DVR XP panel does not) and the display is larger I decided to use the panel. However the panel mounts differently and the contacts and cables for the emergency stop button stick out and have nowhere to go on the DVR XP. Hence this extremely simple and straightforward bracket to raise the panel and fit on the DVR metal mounting plate.
The bracket is mounted to the old plate with 4 M3 screws and nuts (and I left a fair amount of wiggle room between the two to help with the fitting). And 3 of the 4 original plate metal screws secure the new panel to the bracket.
Disclaimer: I have no official confirmation from Teknatool that this combination of parts is acceptable. But from everything I see it works (see also pictures). All the motor parameters match up with the old panel too i.e. Kprop, Kint, V Kprop, V Kint, Vd DC Bus ...
