Resistance is futile.
Let the laziness consume you.
Clamp your Ikea Tertial lamp to your bedside table, and game the days away!
The Tertial is a cheap $13 articulating table lamp from Ikea. Currently, it can be purchased from Ikea with $5 shipping. I happened to have one lying around.
The lamp shade, fixture, and light bulb weighed 315 grams, and the switch and this mount weigh about 317 grams, so the lamp articulates just as it did before the conversion.
All you need are some slightly longer M3 bolts, the ones that hold the lamp fixture to the arm are too short.
I re-used the split-washers and nuts, though.
I may attempt to add a ball joint to this design, as currently the switch is only capable of sitting perpendicular to the lamp arm.
It works fine for my lazy setup, but it might not work for everyone.
The mount is a bit snug, but I wanted it that way so that I could turn the mount to the portrait orientation for playing pinball.
If anyone has any issues, I can provide a slightly-less-snug version.
