I needed an adapter to attach my "Orion Paragon-Plus" binocular mount to a survey tripod.
The tripod has a (5/8" x 11 tpi screw thread) bolt, and the mount has a (3/8-16 UNC thread) attachment point.
I designed this part in Fusion360. I had to slightly modify the hole dimensions in the design to accommodate the nut + bolt that I bought ("Zenith" brand parts purchased from "Bunnings" in Australia). A 3/8" bolt is inserted from the bottom first, and a 5/8" nut is then slid in the side slot. The part can then be screwed onto the mount, and the assembly can be placed on the tripod for use.
The binoculars I use are a pair of "Andrews" brand 11 x 70 which are ideal for astronomy or landscape viewing.
