Everyone was confused how the Queen's Guard started coming out during the day when they knew the monstrosities hated the light. That is until they saw translucent clouds of darkness emanating from the sinister staves wielded by the Bearers of Light. Their name made no sense to the townsfolk. These were no holy soldiers, fighting for some just cause. These were an extension to their larger demon cousins and after several sightings the name began to make more and more sense. For, without them the Queen's Guard could not bear the light and were forced to crawl back into whatever dungeon they came from, waiting for the sun to leave the sky.
