Stone age is a wonderful game that asks you to do a terrible thing. It unabashedly asks you to make piles of resources on the board. These piles invariably end up getting flicked around and mixed with other piles. It can also be hard to pick up the resources off of the board out of the shifting pile. Lastly, the ability to reach the static piles can lead to a lot of interruptions as the players ask to have resources handed to them, reach for resources, or play the bank as other players need things handed to them.
With these 5 bowls, the resources can stay neatly organized by type on the board, handed to players as needed, and the curved edge of the bowl makes pulling resources very natural. The bottoms of the bowls are mostly flattened to avoid tipping. If printed in grey, the chipped stone design makes the presence of the bowls pleasantly thematic. They make a real difference in gameplay. Try them out!
