Stidham Union, Building No. 11, was built at a cost of $570,000 and was dedicated in 1965. Philip Nash, commissioner of the BIA, delivered the dedicatory address. Construction began in 1961 and was completed in 1965. The work on the footings, glass, hot tar for the roof, and the ceiling beams were contracted out; Haskell students did all of the other work. Mt. Edgecumbe, Alaska, High School presented Haskell the Totem Pole which is in the Union to the right of the snack bar. The Totem Pole at the entrance was made by Cecil Dibble and his welding class students. In the entrance hall of Stidham is the American Indian Korean War Memorial. This statue by John W. Learned, sculptor, was presented in grateful recognition of all Haskell men and women who participated in the Korean Conflict and in solemn memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice. The statue was dedicated on November 8, 1963. Also, in the entrance is the plaque which states that Haskell has been designated as a Registered National Historic Landmark by the National Park Service. The building was named for Tom E. Stidham, a Creek Indian from Oklahoma, who was born in 1905.
