Steven's Cog Kit
This could be a great and fun educational toy, or perhaps just something for fun. The kit contains various sizes of cogs and gears, plus connecting rods to play about with.
Each cog is provided as a separate STL file, and are named after the number of teeth they have.
The cog frame is designed to take the connector rods. This allows the cogs to be put into many different positions. The frame also includes a space designed to take a small CD-ROM motor. Simply print the Cog21 (For Motor) cog, and you can then use the motor to power the cogs. You may need to make some adjustments depending on the motor used.
If you do not want to use a motor, there is a cog97 included that has a handle. Simply print the cog (Cog97 (With Handle)) and the handle (Handle For Cog97) and put them together.
You will also need to print out some connecting rods, to attach the cogs to the frame.
Also included is a spacer. This is a cog without any teeth that can be used to raise cogs above the frame.
The best thing to do is to simply print out all the parts and experiment, but most of all, have fun!
