I wanted more freedom move for my microscope so i made this adapter.https://youtu.be/ShfnoYDDdQI
Originally I made this adapter for Simbr Monitor mount - B06XBT6B4L:https://www.amazon.de/-/pl/dp/B06XBT6B4L/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&ie=UTF8&keywords=B06XBT6B4L&language=en_GB&qid=1601217135&sr=8-1
, but when i mounted microscope on that arm, microscope was very wobbly.
I had spare Ergotron LX arm - B00358RIRC:https://www.amazon.com/LX-Desk-Mount-LCD-Arm/dp/B00358RIRC/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=ergotron&qid=1601217665&s=electronics&sr=1-3
, and fortunately this adapter without modification fitted. From Ergotron i had to drill out rivet that was holding vesa mount to remove it.
Mounting hole in adapter is 8mm for Simbr monitor arm, Ergotron have ~6,5mm hole. I screwed it together with 6mm screw and used original washers that came of from ergotron rivet, and it's sturdy connection.
On Ergotron wobbling is similar to original microscope stand that i had.
I also have Amazon Basic monitor arm that is copy of Ergotron - B00MIBN16O:https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Premium-Single-Monitor-Stand/dp/B00MIBN16O/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=B00MIBN16O&qid=1601217496&s=electronics&sr=1-1, so adapter will fit it too after drilling rivet out.
Another copy of Ergotron is HP BT861AT monitor arm - B00455GH58: https://www.amazon.com/Hewlett-Packard-BT861AT-Single-Monitor/dp/B00455GH58/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=B00455GH58&qid=1601217584&s=electronics&sr=1-1
that should fit it too.
