These are the desk drawer glides to my 1970's vintage Steelcase desk. The original glides were made from nylon and long ago broke apart before I acquired the desk. Only one glide was left and I could not find Steelcase desk parts anywhere. Without the glides, the drawers would droop down enough to rub on the drawers below, and annoyingly try to pull out the other drawers when trying to open one. So, I spent a little time and whipped up a copy of the glides in OpenSCAD.
Each desk drawer glides on two plastic glides that are mounted to the desk rail. The under-desk drawer, sometimes known as the pen drawer, also had two glides on the desk and two glides on the back of the drawer itself. They are just minor modifications of the other glide so I was able to adapt the design quickly.
The drawers themselves also had two U-shaped glides on the back of them. I had none surviving to copy but a zip-tie worked perfect as a replacement so I did not attempt to design one.
