Star Frontiers - Agriculture Ship

This is a 3d model of the Agriculture Ship or 'Ag Ship' from the Star Frontiers Role Playing Game which was published by TSR games back in the 1980s. The Ag Ship is a mobile greenhouse that features a number of biodomes to grow food in low-gravity hydroponic gardens. These ships serve as the main food supply for colonies that are unable to grow crops, such as those on asteroids and planets with hostile environments, or on habitable worlds that have yet to establish farms of their own. Although massive in size, these ships require small crews, usually less than 8 individuals, while the rest of the ship is staffed by dedicated robots that tend the gardens. A variation of the ship can serve a recreational purpose, allowing passengers to relax in the biodome gardens. Ag Ships can be found lazily circling through the star systems they serve. Like other ships in Star Frontiers, Ag Ships produce gravity by constantly accelerating forward or decelerating backwards. However there is a brief moment of microgravity when the ships flip around to thrust in the opposite direction.
