Last crawled date: 4 years, 7 months ago
Description
This is a tool to reduce the length of Armattan standoff used on elevenQuad Onix 111 frame from 24mm to 22mm.
The standoff is an M3 with output diameter of 4mm, available here : https://www.armattanproductions.com/pages/hardware_details/35/47
What you need
M6 screw, length and head does not matter
M3 screw, length and head does not matter
A file
A caliper
Instruction
Print the part in the same position as the STL
Screw few mm of the M6 screw in the biggest hole (be careful to not brake the printed thread) and insert the standoff (picture 2)
Play with the screw to have only 1 mm going out on top (picture 3)
File the standoff until the top of printed part (picture 4 and 5)
Remove the standoff with M3 screw (picture 6)
Clean up dust in the tool by removing M6 screw, this will avoid scratches on the standoff
Measure the standoff, it should be around 23mm length. Your measure -22mm will be the length you will need to remove in the other side of the standoff
Insert the standoff in the printed part with the non filled side out of the printed part
Repeat step 3 and 4 with the adequate
You should now have a standoff length of 22mm (picture 7). Tip: better to have a bit shorter than longer
