The Kentheim Chapel, called “St. Candiduskirche” in German which has been cited for the first time in a charter of the year 1075 is a church in the district of Bad Teinach-Zavelsteiner Kentheim and is located in Nagldtal. This Romanesque church which is believed to be built during 950~1075 is the one of the oldest churches in southern Germany. The St. Candidus Chapel was said to be built at the instigation of the monastery of Reichenau and probably served first as a convent church. In the Middle Ages, the Chapel has become a major parish center in the northern Black Forest before the parish rights have been transferred to Zavelstein. #Candidus_Chapel #CandidusKirche #Church #Kentheim_Chapel
