Spotless is a compact mop based on the premise that a practical cleaning device doesn't have to look ugly or boring.

It has a few features that make it different to the mops currently on the market. First of all, the handle. Instead of being fixed to a single rotatory position, it can be moved horizontally as well as vertically. This has two advantages: the first of them is that it makes it possible to access difficult places, like the floor below a couch. The distance form the handle to the tip of the head can be big even though the head is very small. Another advantage of this is that you can apply the maximum pressure right where you need it. Dirt tends to accumulate on the corners, and it can be difficult sometimes to eliminate it, because the pressure is applied on the center of the head, and not on the side. When the dirt cannot be reached by the center of the mop, this makes cleaning more difficult.

Another distinctive feature is the way the disposable cloth is changed. The main body of the mop can be separated by pressing a small lever. This can be done easily, even with the foot. After that, the support frame for the cloth can be taken close to the garbage bin without touching the cloth.

Instead of opting for a foldable handle, I decided to go for a removable one. A foldable handle is usually either more complicated or can be folded accidentally. Apart from this, I find that what makes it difficult to store a mop is not the length itself, but the fact that it is T-shaped . It doesn't make much of a difference that the handle can be shortened, but if it can be removed then the head and the handle can be stored easily. It is a more basic solution but I think works fine while keeping production costs to a minimum.

I hope you like it!
