Its made to be longer, without the bottom feet so that the spool sits much lower.
This is designed so that it fits within a New Zealand Tupperware for use in creating a Filament Dry Box.

It has ~3mm clearance at the top of the lid, so oversized spools are a risk. It fitted all filament spools I have on hand (~7 different brands) both heights and widths, so hopefully it should fit yours.

It still uses the standard 608zz bearings from the original Tush
