Same as my other split tree sculpture, it starts as an extruded equilateral triangle, splits into four pieces which fork upward at an angle to form four new triangles. These continue to split until there are 256 triangles at the very top. I usually display it upside-down after printing, but have never tried printing it this way because it would be difficult to properly remove from the print bed.
Bonus fact: This sculpture has the exact same cross sectional area from the bottom to the top due to the effect of the splitting.
