SpaceX Starship Mk1

This is a 1:275 model of the SpaceX Starship Mk1. Over the past few months, SpaceX has been constructing a prototype starship vehicle at their facility in Boca Chica Texas. Last night (9/28/19) Elon Musk delivered a presentation giving the public some insight into the development of the vehicle. The Mk1 prototype has 2 rear fins opposed to the 3 fins of the original concept. Additionally, the rear fins will no longer serve as landing legs, instead, there will be 6 separate landing legs around the bottom rim of the vehicle. The Mk1 will have 3 sea-level raptor engines capable of thrust-vectoring. The main body is made of welded stainless steel sheets. Later starship models will have hot-gas thrusters, heat shielding, and will be constructed out of a single steel sheet. At some point the Mk1 will undergo a test flight, hopefully reaching 60,000 ft. Subsequent prototype vehicles will undergo similar tests and eventually reach orbit. Production model starships will be capable of carrying 100 crew members and are projected to be capable of reaching most places in the solar system thanks to their ability to refuel in orbit.
