Updated 2018. A design study from the 80's for a SWATH (Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull) light aircraft carrier, a Soviet interpretation of the Sea Control ship concept. Information is very fragmentary- a single small JPEG of the presentation model. Educated guestimate of leading characteristics: length:662 ft, Beam:210 ft oa, flight deck 637 ft x 193 ft, displacement approx 17-20,000 long tons. Top speed: 28 kts, propulsion: 2 shafts CODAG or COGAG. Airgroup:15-20 Ka-27 HELIX naval helicopters, YAK-38 FORGER or YAK-41/141 FREESTYLE naval multirole STOVL aircraft.
