Soap Slicer for Loaf and Pringles Can
My wife purchased soap loaf molds and cutting utensils from Amazon. We found a consistent straight cut was difficult and the miter boxes sold at Home Depot were not tall enough. So I designed my own guide.
The guide contains slots for a divider to make cuts 3/4, 1, 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 1 3/4 and 1 3/4 inches. The edge is exactly 2 inches from the blade.
The guide comes in three sizes:
1) Guide-Short: Exact height of my straight blade (2 7/8 in.) and the exact height of the soap loaf mold. Can accommodate the straight or crinkle cutter. For loafs that extend above the top, turn the loaf 90 degrees before cutting. The guide was made purposely 4" in width to accommodate a side cut.
2) Guide-Tall: May be used with the Crinkle cutter (3 3/4 in high) or another appropriate cutting utensil. Allows cutting of high loafs from the top.
3) Guide-Pringles: To cut soap made from a Pringles can.
To accommodate the 10"+ loaf, a support is provided to keep the loaf straight while cutting.
To use print:
1 Guide of your choice
1 Support for selected guide
1 Divider
