A 40mm silent fan adapter for part cooling on the Original Snapmaker.
This version is functional and effective for use on the snapmaker original 3D printing module.
Refer to How I Made This for slicing/printing orientation.
A flat end screw driver is required to pry/push out supporting material which lies in the air duct.
Attaching this part should be easy but here are some tips you can follow to successfully instal the part.
To attach the part to your 3D Printing Module of the Original Snapmaker, you will have to remove the smaller part cooling fan and unscrew the the piece of metal to which the fan is attached.
Invert the metal piece (upside down) so that the two screw (2 X M2) holes match the bottom of the screw holes on the printed adapter.
Unscrew the lower left screw of theft side of the printing module and insert the the printed part. The side screw hole of the printed part should match that of the module when fitted correctly. (Refer to included marked images for illustration)
Requirements
Any 40mm fan would fit (irrespective of the thickness 10/20mm)
M3 16mm screws would fit perfectly for the 40mm fan installation which usually come with the fan.
-The other screws the same ones used on the printer module.
Note that A 24V fan is required for the snapmaker!
Any feedback/suggestions on improvements would be appreciated!
Consider Donating!
All donations would be spent on filament spools, and for every filament spool via donations, I will design another enhancing mod for the snapmaker original;
Filament Holders
A New motherboard case to accommodate a bigger and silent fan (In progress)
Mods for CNC
etc
Accessory Holders
