Last crawled date: 4 years, 8 months ago
Inspired from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3052488 (sensor mount)
Core functionalities:
Designed for 1.75 filament
Only 10mm reaction time needed (maybe less)
Can detect runout & stuck filament
Only need few things:
Some optical sensor (this use https://www.lerdge.com/product/detail/LerdgeOptical-Endstop)
Some ball-bearing 8 x 22 x 7
Some electrical tape to add more friction with the filament
2 screw (5mm)
1 screw (3mm)
Assembly:
Add some electrical tape on the toothed disk to manage printing precision & friction
Mount ball-bearings on the toothed disk & the simple disk
Assemble the top & base with the 2 5mm screw
Add the sensor mount to it
Add the optical sensor with the 3mm screw
Add the sensor bar below the optical sensor (may need to add something between the sensor and the bar)
Your done
Marlin Compilation parameters:
uncomment FILAMENT_RUNOUT_SENSOR
FILAMENT_RUNOUT_DISTANCE_MM == 10
uncomment FILAMENT_MOTION_SENSOR
uncomment NOZZLE_PARK_FEATURE
uncomment M114_DETAIL
uncomment ADVANCED_PAUSE_FEATURE
compile & your done
Now just plug in with your board (/!\ remember to look at the sensor wires to match VCC/GRD/SIG /!\)
Work perfectly fine on my Ender 3 V2.
