This is the slew drive for a Alt/Az GoTo telescope mount I am building. It uses a Nema 17 stepper to drive the worm drive, which provides a 15:1 ratio. Along with 1/16th microstepping this allows a 0.0075 degree per step accuracy.
All parts were printed with ESUN PLA+, but it can be printed in any material.
Required Materials:
1x Thrust Bearing 6655k61
1x Ball Bearing, Trade 608 8mm shaft 5972K91
** I'm pretty sure skateboard bearings will work too, as they should be the same size
11x M3 x 10mm x 5mm Heat set inserts. These are to attach the upper part to the lower part
6x M4 x 10mm x 6mm Heat set inserts. These are to mount whatever you want to the slew
4x M3 x 12mm screws. These are to attach the stepper to the drive
11x M3 x 16mm screws. These are to attach the top and bottom part
1x M5 x 20mm screw. This secures the gear to the bottom
1x M5 nut. This secures the gear to the bottom
6x M5 screws. These are used to secure the bottom to whatever you want.
