This was one of the first things I designed after getting my 3D-printer in spring 2017.
The Easy IKEA KALLAX light is an easy and basic way to mount a light on IKEA's KALLAX series shelve units. This design is only suitable for use with LED bulbs, since incandescent lightbulbs produce too much heat.
In order to assemble the Easy IKEA KALLAX light, you need:
1 x Light socket (the bracket has a 28.7mm hole which fitted my E14 light socket)
2 x 3mm screws to mount the bracket on your IKEA KALLAX (or, if you're brave, you can use strong double sided tape)
2 x small tiewraps (these fit the series of square holes in the bracket and allow you to neatly guide your power cable)
I have included three types of lampshades, two of which are 200 x 150mm in size. The third lampshade is 130 x 130mm and should also fit smaller printbeds. Just like the bracket, the lampshades also have 28.7mm holes.
The lampshade in the photos is lampshade 'design' #2 and was printed with (transparant) fluorescent orange PLA at 100% infill. The bracket is also printed with PLA @ 100% infill.
DO NOT use incandescent lightbulbs with this design!! ONLY USE LED bulbs!!
