Ever since I have moved to my house, there has been something bugging me everyday. It was that my bathroom door's lock was installed defective. It wouldn't lock. This went on since the age of the dinosaurs and I kept forgetting to fix it. Recently though, I got my first 3d Printer, and obviously, I knew what to print.
This is just a simple door lock. The large casing which houses the sliding block measures 40mm x 40mm x 20mm while the small casing measures 20mm x 38.24mm x 20mm. The sliding block measures 20mm x 18mm x 24.5mm.
I added curves in the design to establish a much stronger structure in order to ensure that the lock will endure a nuclear blast or a direct asteroid impact. I printed it at 0.3mm resolution with 10% infill at 50mm/s. I was able to print it without support at all, and it came out very clean. I stuck it to the door using super glue and it hasn't given me any problems so far.
If you guys have problems with it, have suggestions or need help, feel free to comment. :D
