A simple "spine protector" for (paperback) books.
Those books usually have a crease where the pages should fold, but since the "spine" of the book is merely a thin strip of glue and a few millimeters of page that hopefully aren't bent wrong, most of the time the spine is ripped wide open.
This protector forces the pages to fold at the crease, protecting the spine.
The downside is that is may make it harder to completely open the book. Maybe the design should be tweaked a bit.
