Silicone Sock for E3D V6 hotends or clones by gulfcoast_robotics

After E3D released new heater block with cartridge thermistor, and silicone sock for this block, we realized that older type of V6 heater blocks are not compatible with new sock. We designed and manufactured this sock to be compatible with older V6 style heater block.
Our silicone sock design will not get loose. During testing of various prototypes we came to conclusion that "easy to install and remove" sock is not having good grip, getting loose over some period of time and can even get off during the print. Our sock provides complete glove-like grip all over heater block body.
We publish 2 versions of silicone sock - with closed and open nozzle. Published STL files are downsized to about 97% to achieve 100% size under the heat.
STLs we publish here can be used to create negative mold design. You can then 3D print mold parts and cast silicone socks. We plan to design mold parts and publish them here. Our current design is made for industrial injection molding process. Here we have these silicone socks for sale:
